Purple Landscape - SOLD

$300.00
sold out

During a retreat of the Kentucky/Tennessee Polymer Clay Guild, organized by the inimitable Dr. Ron Lehocky of Louisville, a wonderful clay artist taught his string art technique. Not stopping with just sharing the technique, Jan Montarsi also shared how to sand polymer clay to a touchable, silk-like finish. I am forever grateful.

The string art technique makes for layered colors which are revealed only with sanding. On this purse, the technique makes for swirling shimmering colors, forming a subtle landscape. The interior is silk-screen and lightly textured.

The technique for making my purses was refined during a class with Kathleen Dustin at Creative Journey Studios. What I learned from this remarkable artist continues to impact my purses.

This purse has two leather straps (included) which are easily changed because of the Chicago screws; so from handbag to shoulder bag is an easy conversion. Measuring approximately 7.25” across, 4.5” highest point and 3.75 lowest point and 3” deep; this purse will not accommodate many large phone styles.

While this purse is sold, commissions are accepted. Please contact me for details.
