Antiques Leaves - SOLD
Molds make for interesting designs, especially once texture refines the molded shapes and antiquing is added. Overlapping the various leaf shapes gives a wonderful “feel” to this purse. It reminds me of jumping into a pile of leaves and realizing I was covered with designs...more than a few years ago!
The interior and the closure bead are made using the mokume gane technique, as taught by Ellen Propheter of the Creative Journey Studios in Georgia. She opened my eyes to the possibilities of this amazing and ever-changing polymer clay technique based upon ancient Japanese metal work!
The technique for making my purses was refined during a class with Kathleen Dustin at Creative Journey Studios. What I learned from this remarkable artist continues to impact my purses. Measuring approximately 7.25” across and 2.75” deep, this purse does accommodate some of the larger phone styles.
While this purse is sold, commissions are accepted. Please contact me for details.
